Laziness, Idleness, Procrastination:

1 Thessalonians 4:11: Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you,

2 Thessalonians 3:10: For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."

Ecclesiastes 4:5: The fool folds his hands and ruins himself.

Hebrews 6:12: We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

Matthew 20:7: "`Because no one has hired us,' they answered. "He said to them, `You also go and work in my vineyard.'

Matthew 25:21-26: "His master replied, `Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!' "The man with the two talents also came. `Master,' he said, `you entrusted me with two talents; see, I have gained two more.'"His master replied, `Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'"Then the man who had received the one talent came. `Master,' he said, `I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.'"His master replied, `You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed?

Proverbs 14:23: All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty.

Proverbs 21:25: The sluggard's craving will be the death of him, because his hands refuse to work.

Romans 12:11: Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

Loneliness:

1 Peter 2:9: But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

John 14:18: I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

Psalms 25:16: Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.

Psalms 40:17: Yet I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me. You are my help and my deliverer; O my God, do not delay.

Love, Each Other:

1 Corinthians 13:4: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

1 John 2:10: Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.

1 John 3:18: Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

1 John 4:7-11: Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

1 Peter 1:22: Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.

1 Thessalonians 4:9: Now about brotherly love we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other.

Romans 12:9: Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

Lust:

1 John 2:16: For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world.

1 Peter 4:3: For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do--living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry.

Psalms 58:3: Even from birth the wicked go astray; from the womb they are wayward and speak lies.

Zechariah 8:17: do not plot evil against your neighbor, and do not love to swear falsely. I hate all this," declares the LORD.

He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.

Patience:

1 Corinthians 13:4: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

James 5:14-16: Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Job 22:27: You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows.

Matthew 21:22: If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

Repentance:

Ephesians 2:1-9: As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-8: But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.

2 Corinthians 10:5: We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. "Everything is permissible for me"--but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"--but I will not be mastered by anything. "Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"--but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.

Matthew 15:19-20: For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what make a man `unclean'; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him `unclean.'"

And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Proverbs 30:9: Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, `Who is the LORD?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.

Romans 2:21: you, then, who teach others, do you not teach yourself? You who preach against stealing, do you steal?

Temptation:
